Prototyping and small-scale production

We offer services to transfer idea into a proof-of-concept device to assess it in the laboratory environment. It includes all our areas of expertise:

  • Materials for electronics and photonics
  • Nanomaterials and ceramics
  • Thin films and coatings
  • Materials for energy harvesting & storage

At this stage benchmarking with the existing state-of-the-art is performed. The output of this stage are the characteristics of desired device or component and specifications for the first prototype.

Prototyping

For the next step, we develop a prototype to test idea in a real environment.

The aim is to create a device which is close to the production stage, stepping up from laboratory to industrial processes. The main benchmarking here is carried out on existing products in the market.

In prototyping, we involve our scientific, manufacturing process and electronic engineering expertise.

Small-scale production

Prototyping can be extended to small-scale production. Here we cooperate with industrial test beds based on our industrial partners for technology industrialisation.

Prototyping and small-scale production of electronic and photonic components can be done also in our cleanroom facilities, with an area of 680 m2 with different process and measurement tools.
