About

Materize is a platform for industry collaboration and innovation for making scientific expertise beneficial to business. We combine the best of scientific expertise formed into a process and language that is easily accessible for industry.

Materize is part of the Institute of Solid State Physics, University of Latvia, with its 44 years of experience and team of 300 employees.

Materize has developed a strong ecosystem and as a key enabling technology (KET) centre and Digital Innovation Hub (DIH) helps SMEs and large enterprises to solve digitalization challenges and to cross the bridge from lab to market to develop and produce new KETs-based products.

International services and applications are being delivered also in partnership with the industrial partners, providing a solid base for test-beds infrastructure, scaling-up and ensuring high quality and time-to-market needs.

The key international research partners in delivering maximum performance are KTH and RISE, from Kista Science City, Sweden. Center is co-funded by European Commission Horizon2020 project CAMART2.
